You rigged the high poly zbrush version in Maya?
Or is this the low poly version displacement mapped or normal mapped?

No, because zBrush does not have the ability to create animation friendly topology unless you retopo. I use an extremely basic box mesh created in Maya to make sure all of my edgeloops are correct. I don't like going back or solving problems that could be easily resolves for the onset.

ive not used zbrush yet so i was wondering what the process for creating something complex in it was like ,so you cant sculpt from scratch in there really without problems?, but you would create detailed geometry from a basic mesh . cool thanks for the info really nice peicei forgot to add before have you rigged it?

Yup, it's rigged an ready to be animated. Just don't have time for the later.
